Phishers made a fortune claiming to be the taxman
A gang of fraudsters sent out spam emails claiming to be from the taxman to collect victims’ banking details and steal hundreds of thousands of pounds, a court heard. Mark Adelaja, Adir Dawes and Marko Martinovic, all 24, were part of a group sending emails offering a refund from HM Revenue and Customs.
