Pit bull savaged child in playground

An eight-year-old boy was mauled by a pit bull terrier in a children’s playground, a court heard. Jasmine Lopez, 30, was walking ‘Rocco’ in the small park on Alexis Road, Southwark, when the dog savaged the child. He was bitten on his left hip, shoulder and forehead, and rushed to St Thomas’s Hospital, Southwark Crown Court heard.
