Poppy Day box nicker sent back to Germany

A thief who stole Poppy Day donation tins from shops and pubs has been deported back to Germany. Jorge Buyukyoaidis, 54, grabbed eight collection tins in the City of London in 10 weeks. Buyukyoaidis was arrested when two plain-clothes officers from the City of London Police on patrol on Cheapside recognised him from CCTV images He was apprehended while attempting to cash in £36 of loose coins.
