Porsche driver’s crash for cash scam…

Car dealer Mark Smith staged a ‘crash for cash’ in his Porsche 911 to write off the car and claim for whiplash. When the van which ploughed into him didn’t do enough damage he drove the sports car into a wall. Smith claimed for the Porsche, plus £15,000 for whiplash and £22,000 for hiring a replacement car. But the insurance company got suspicious and reported him to City of London police.
