Prison officer smuggled phones for inmate

A jailbird who called an Equality and Diversity officer his ‘black beauty’ after she smuggled mobile phones for him has been handed a suspended jail sentence. Anita Offe, 24, was caught on camera meeting up with Elijah Mochia, 22, at Thameside prison in Thamesmead, southeast London. Offe was jailed for 12 months while Mochia was sentenced to nine months jail, suspended for two years, at Southwark Crown Court.
