‘Rain Man’ trader Tom Hayes loses appeal

A City trader known as ‘Rain Man’ who was jailed for 11 years for manipulating interest rates has lost his appeal against his conviction. Tom Hayes, 44, hounded broker friends across the world to set rates in his favour and paid them off with kickback payments and cases of vintage champagne.
