‘Rolex ripper’ befriended victims by chatting about Brazilian football

A ‘Rolex ripper’ targeted people for their designer watches by chatting to them about Brazilian football, a court heard. Mohamed Amoyos, 33, swiped four valuable timepieces totalling £65,000 between October 2023 and December 2023. Amoyos was due to stand trial at Southwark Crown Court but admitted four counts of robbery at the 11th hour.
