Senior officer denies using false evidence to frame murder suspects

  A senior Met Police officer today (Mon) denied knowingly using false evidence from a paid supergrass to frame four suspects in the notorious axe murder of a private eye. Daniel Morgan, a partner in Southern Investigations, was found an axe buried in his head in the carpark of the Golden Lion pub in Sydenham, southeast London, in 1987.
