She tried to exterminate bedbugs in her flat – and gassed a girl living in the flat above
A woman killed an 11-year-old girl when she tried to kill the bedbugs infesting her home, a court heard. Jesmin Akter, 33, illegally imported aluminium phosphide and scattered it around her flat in Shadwell, east London on 26 November 2021. it is claimed. The chemical was activated by moisture to create the deadly gas phosphine, which seeped into the flat above, poisoning Fatiha Sabrin.
