Tata Group blames ‘bias’ for £372m damages bill

The owner of Jaguar Land Rover is blaming a deputy High Court judge’s ‘unconscious bias’ for a legal defeat which saw it ordered to pay damages of nearly US$500 million (£372m) to a BVI firm over an aborted coal deposit venture in eastern Russia.
