‘Taxi passenger killed by speeding Mercedes driver’

A Mercedes driver was travelling at up to three times the 20mph limit when he killed a passenger getting out of a black cab, a court heard. Jerome Carty, 30, was driving at between 40 and 58mph when he hit 37-year-old Chase Moore on Worpole Road, Wimbledon, on 18 November 2022.
