Thief who stole BMW from golf club was nicked because he was a terrible driver

A thief blagged his way into the changing rooms one of west London’s most exclusive golf clubs and drove off in a member’s BMW, a court heard. On 27 September 2020, Patrick Reid, 41, was reported by staff as he went to Richmond golf club and took the car keys from inside a bag. After being confronted by a porter, who asked if he was a member, Reid confirmed he was and stated he just wanted to use the toilet….
