Thousands of pounds wasted as barrister’s strike hits court

Three defendants were left unrepresented at court today after their barristers went on strike. Ivan Herasymkiv, 38, Dennis McCarthy 38, Matthew Farquharson, 36, all appeared from Wandsworth prison on video-link at Kingston Crown Court. The trio appeared separately, on various charges which are not connected with one another, but were all unrepresented.
