Throat slitter gets psychiatric tests

A shopkeeper accused of slitting the throats of his two children has been remanded in custody while psychiatric reports are prepared. Pavinya Nithiyakumar, aged 19 months, and her three-year-old brother Nigish Nithiyakumar died after the attack at their home in Aldborough Parade, Ilford, east London on April 26.
