Treasurer ‘did the Christmas Club money’

The treasurer of a social club took £50,000 from the kitty and then told members the money had been stolen, a court heard. Pamela Dooner, 73, initially claimed she needed cash to access a will or for a ‘family emergency.’ She even emptied the Christmas fund at United Services & Services Rendered Club in Balham, Wimbledon Magistrates Court heard.
