Accused nurse killer to stand trial

A patient accused of knifing a nurse to death at a psychiatric hospital will stand trial at the Old Bailey in November. Jimi Jedson, 40, killed 68-year-old Patrick Clarke at the Southleigh Community Mental Health Hospital in south Croydon, south London, on 12 May. Mr Clarke died from a single stab wound to the chest. Jedson was arrested at the scene and taken to hospital for an injured hand – he was formally charged with murder once he was discharged….
