‘Wimbledon Prowler’ ran a chip shop in Altrincham

A cat burglar dubbed the ‘Wimbledon Prowler’ is facing years behind bars after he admitted stealing jewellery worth more than £500,000. Asdrit Kapaj, 42, broke into multi-million pound homes across the affluent suburb in southwest London between 2008 and 2018. The married father of-two came to the UK after unrest in his native Kosovo, former Yugoslavia, and opened a fish and chip shop in Altrincham, greater Manchester.
