My wife was stabbed by accident

A husband accused of trying to snap his Thai bride’s neck has claimed he injuries were caused accidentally. William Clapperton, 58, allegedly slashed his lover’s throat with a meat-cleaver during a furious argument. But he claims Napangkawarin ‘Pat’ Clapperton’s injuries were caused when he tried to wrestle the weapon away from her as they stumbled round their flat in Varsity Drive, Twickenham.
