Harding Price now faces an agonising wait until Monday to discover his fate.

After nearly two hours of deliberation, the GMC ruled he had failed to respect the privacy and dignity of the 19-year-old by unnecessarily keeping her undressed during the appointment and moving her knickers without consent.

But it was decided that he did not take off her bra or slap her bottom, and that his actions were not inappropriate or improper.

In relation to the 44-year-old mother, the committee ruled he did ask her about sexual matters and sent letters to her GP and her husband.

It was found Harding-Price did ask the 27-year-old about her sex life, but those questions were not inappropriate.

Committee chairman Eileen Walker told the psychiatrist it was possible his actions did amount to serious professional misconduct.

The hearing was adjourned until Monday.
