Syrian businessman ‘lied over Lamborghini smash’

A Syrian businessman and a club promoter appeared in court accused of lying to police after a £130,000 Lamborghini was written off during a promotional stunt. Talal Alkassab, 39, allegedly allowed promoter Diyaa Lababidi, 33, have a spin in the hired Gallardo outside Drunch restaurant on Oxford Circus. Alkassab allegedly hired the supercar from JM Investment Trading Ltd before Lababidi – who did not have a driving licence – got behind the wheel in the early hours of 27 July…
