Accused bus stabber in court

A man accused of stabbing a passenger to death on the top deck of a London bus was remanded in custody today (Weds). John Doherty, 38, allegedly knifed Archie Sheppard on the 189 bus in Marylebone in the early hours of 28 April. The 48-year-old was found by another passenger when the bus stopped in Gloucester Place, Marylebone, at around 12.10am. Medics battled to save Mr Sheppard, but he was pronounced dead at the scene after suffering fatal stab wounds….
