Accused Hartlepool terrorist in court

A Moroccan man accused of stabbing a pensioner to death in the street in an attack ‘motivated by terrorism’ has appeared at the Old Bailey. Ahmed Alid, 44, allegedly plunged a large knife into 70-year-old Terrence Carney after he used a cashpoint machine in Tees Street, Hartlepool, on 15 October.
