Accused member of National Action in court

An alleged member of the banned extreme right wing group National Action appeared in court today (mon).

David Musins, 35, was charged with being a member of a proscribed organisation during an investigation by the Met’s Counter Terrorism Command.

Musins spoke to confirm his identity, age and address when he appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court.

He was arrested by counter-terrorism officers last November and charged on February 4 with alleged membership of the banned extreme right wing group, between December 2016 and August 2017.

Prosecutor Louise Gray said: ‘There is evidence that he attended three events. On chat he stated that he is affiliated with National Action.’

‘What is National Action?’ District Judge Michael Snow asked.

‘National Action are an extreme right wing group,’ replied Ms Gray.

‘They advocate extreme right wing views, Nazism, fascism, they tend to dress all in black, mostly dark colours, covering their faces.’

Musins, of Muswell Hill, north London, was granted bail provided he does not leave the country ahead of a preliminary hearing at the Old Bailey on February 25.
