Accused MP killer remanded at the Old Bailey

The terror suspect accused of murdering Conservative MP Sir David Amess was remanded in custody today (fri). Ali Harbi Ali, 25, allegedly stabbed Sir David, who represented Southend West since May 1997 until his death, at a constituency surgery at Belfairs Methodist Church in Leigh-on-Sea, Essex, on October 15. Sir David suffered multiple stab wounds and was pronounced dead at 1:10pm. Ali, a British national of Somalian heritage, was arrested at the scene of the attack by two police officers…
