Accused of murder 42 years ago

An alleged killer accused of a murder that has remained unsolved for 42 years will stand trial next week. John Paul, 61, allegedly strangled 41-year-old barman Anthony Bird in June 1980. Paul was charged with the murder in May this year. Mr Bird was found naked with his wrists bound at his flat in Kensington Gardens Square on 6 June after he failed to turn up at work.
