Accused sex attacker’s hearing held in prison van

An alleged sex attacker accused of strangling one of his victims has been remanded in custody. Andrew McPherson, 36, is said to have bullied and beaten three women between April 2019 and June this year. Chief Magistrate Emma Arbuthnot heard McPherson was being held in isolation due to the coronavirus and conducted the hearing in the loading bay of Westminster Magistrates’ Court.
