Acid threatener escapes jail

A hospitality worker who threatened to hurl acid over his estranged wife at Claridge’s was spared jail. Christopher Murphy, 35, terrorised Naratip Sucharitchart at the five-star hotel in Mayfair after their marriage broke down. Ms Sucharitchart was working at Claridge’s when Murphy hurled abuse at security guards and threatened to cut her with a Stanley knife on July 3.
