Actor ‘harassed ex-girlfriend’

An actor and filmmaker bombarded his ex-girlfriend with messages after being told not to contact her, a court heard. Clemmy Abete, 46, allegedly sent abusive texts to Veronica Pajares on three occasions in June this year, breaching a non-molestation order imposed on 31 May. Abete, who had a role in BAFTA-winning 1999 film ‘Tea with Mussolini’, appeared at Croydon Magistrates’ Court wearing a bright blue Hollister sweater and a baseball cap, where he denied contacting Ms Pajares.
