Alleged killer ‘tried to decapitate ex-girlfriend’

An alleged killer hacked at his ex-girlfriend’s neck in a bid to behead her, the Old Bailey heard today (mon). Dennis Akpomedaye, 29, allegedly used a large kitchen knife to saw at Ania Jedrkowiak neck in ‘an apparent attempt to decapitate her’ in an alleyway in Ealing, west London. Despite the best efforts of emergency services, the 21-year-old victim was pronounced dead at the scene following the attack just after midnight on 17 May. Akpomedaye appeared at the Old Bailey…
