Ban for paramedic after mercy dash took two hours

A paramedic who took more than two hours to drive a woman with a history of seizures to hospital and stopped three times on the way has been handed another 12 month ban. Shane Kennedy ignored policy and whisked the patient off to hospital in a fast response vehicle (FRV) instead of an ambulance. The dispatch complaint at 22:44 recorded ‘left arm dead, can’t move her legs’ and the panel heard the woman’s arm was still numb when Kennedy arrived…
