Bent financier faces jail

A financier has admitted fleecing a Commonwealth diplomat’s daughter out of her life savings. Maurice Kelly, 63, swindled £212,223 from literary translator Sarah Robertson between 27 November 2014 and 23 March 2016. Kelly was previously accused of cheating her mother, Jamaican activist Patsy Robertson, out of £1.1m but the charge was ordered to lie on file.
