Brave Flying Squad officer mown down by moped raiders

A Flying Squad officer suffered serious injuries after he was hit by a moped while foiling a gang of smash and grab robbers, a court heard. Det Con Richard Watson was left with a fractured skill and four other officers were injured tackling the axe wielding raiders as they fled the Chronext shop in Piccadilly on August 3.
