Bulgarian crooks pulled off £56m benefit fraud

Five Bulgarian fraudsters lived a life of fabulous luxury at taxpayer’s expense as they raked in £54 million in Britain’s biggest ever benefit. The Eastern European gang hijacked 6,000 identities to make claims for Universal Credit between October 2016 and May 2021.
