Cabbie cleared over death of boy after insisting electric car must have driven itself

A cabbie whose electric car  hit and killed a five-year-old boy has been cleared by a jury after he claimed the Volkswagen car was driving itself. Addison Lee driver Ashenafei Demissie, 53, was in a Volkswagen ID.4 which hit five-year-old Fareed Amir and his own 12-year-old son Raphael.
