Cafe ‘slave’ had to hand over copy of passport

A student who claims she was forced to work at their Tube station cafe told a court her manager copied her passport and threatened to report her to the authorities. Lina Thakrar, 52, and Praful Thakrar, 55, allegedly made the woman work for up to 15 hours a day in the Espresso cafe on the Jubilee Line concourse at Stratford Station.
