Captain Tom defacer remanded in custody

An eco-zealot who poured faeces and urine over a memorial to Captain Sir Tom Moore has been remanded in custody. Madeleine Budd, 21, defaced the monument to the 100-year-old World War Two veteran, who raised £33m for the NHS during the Covid-19 lockdown.
