Care home worker ‘hit elderly resident’

A care home worker accused of assaulting an elderly resident will stand trial in December. Nafisah Amjad, 28, is alleged to have hit Martin Modeste at Bakers Court Nursing Home in Little Ilford, Lane Manor Park, east London, on 27 September 2019. Mr Modeste has since died from unrelated causes. Amjad, of Walthamstow, denies assault by beating.
