Careless driver spared jail over death by three-point-turn

A driver who repeatedly ran over an 87-year-old woman in her 4×4 after taking a cocktail of prescription drugs has been spared jail. Joanna Maynard, 45, was attempting a three point turn and thought she had just hit the kerb when she ran over Elsie Sprague in John Drinkwater Close, Leytonstone, east London.
