Carer ‘tried to murder 90-year-old with hammer’

A 90-year-old grandmother was attacked with a hammer and a knife by the carer who used to look after her late husband, a court heard. Abosede Adeyinka, 52, tried to murder Pamela Batten, whose former partner Ernest had hidden £30,000 cash in their home in Lilac Place, Yiewsley, west London, it is claimed.
