Civil servant claimed he was GCHQ intelligence analyst on bogus CV

A former civil servant accused of lying about being a GCHQ intelligence analyst denied has three fraud charges. Ifthikhar Alam, 25, allegedly gave false credentials including ‘Head of Western Balkans’ and chief of staff at the National Crime Agency. Alam denied three counts of fraud by false representation, between 14 October 2021 until 4 February this year when he appeared at Southwark Crown Court.
