Commons attack was ‘willy wangling’
An engineer accused of attacking a parliamentary lawyer today (thurs) denied they were arguing about who had the most important security pass. Ronald Freeman, 57, allegedly assaulted Peter Brooksbank, who helps MPs scrutinise legislation, outside the notorious Sports and Social Bar in the Commons grounds. Freeman is said to have angered Mr Brooksbank, 64, after tugging on his parliamentary lanyard inside the private bar.
