Cop denies having improper relationship with burglary victim

A police officer has denied pursuing a ‘sexual or improper emotional relationship’ with a burglary victim. PC Matthew Peall, 46, allegedly sent a series of messages to a woman, referred to only as ‘LS’, after she reported a break-in. The Kent-based officer, based at Canterbury police station, denied misconduct in a public office, between October 9, 2019 and December 17, 2019 when he appeared at Southwark Crown Court.
