Cop Mohammad Raza ‘used police files to blackmail suspect’

A former Met Police officer has denied using confidential investigation files to make a £10,000 blackmail demand. Mohammad Raza, 27, allegedly watched bodycam footage about an investigation into a suspect before contacting the man’s family to demand cash. Raza, of Walthamstow, east London, denied blackmail, unauthorised computer access with intent to commit other offences and wilful misconduct in public office at Southwark Crown Court.
