Dealer beats ivory trade ban
A woman was cleared of selling ivory goods on eBay because the antiques were made before the 1947 ban was imposed. Jane Winstanley, 60, was said to have sold ivory illegally over the auction website but the charges were dropped by the Crown Prosecution Service at Westminster Magistrates’ Court.
