DWP policy advisor faces jail for expenses scam

An international policy advisor at the Department for Work and Pensions raked in more than £41,000 by making bogus expenses claims, a court heard. Maurice Okello, 38, admitted providing a forged fitness to work statement to his employers to pocket more than £4,000 and travel abroad while signed off sick.
