Egg smuggler may avoid a bit of bird

A notorious smuggler of rare bird eggs may escape extradition because he has terminal prostate cancer, a court heard. Jeffrey Lendrum, 59, was caught in Brazil with four albino falcon eggs stolen from Patagonia and jailed for four-and-a-half years in October 2015.
