Eight in court over asylum seeker attack

Eight people have appeared in court today accused of a mob attack on a teenage asylum seeker. The 17-year-old Kurdish Iranian was waiting at a bus stop with two friends outside The Goat pub in Croydon, south London, when he was set upon by a huge group of youths. The teenager was chased for around 100 yards into an estate before he punched and kicked on a roundabout outside a nursery. The gang returned to the pub in Shrublands Road…
