Eight years for street thug

A ‘despicable’ thug punched and repeatedly kicked an elderly stranger in a motiveless attack which left the man needing brain surgery, a court heard. Thomas Ruggiero, 35, savagely assaulted his victim in Bread Street, in the City of London, in the early hours of 6 February this year.
