Endangered skull seller spared jail

A trader who imported endangered animal skulls into the UK to sell online was spared jail. Peter Bailey, 65, put up for auction the craniums of apes, dwarf crocodiles, elephants, leopards, bears and whales. He sold two baboon skulls to one UK buyer for £140 and £170 after advertising them as ‘taxidermy curio, collectable skull, rare’.
