Financier accused in Vatican deal was not part of conspiracy

A financier accused of duping the Vatican out of millions of pounds was not part of a fraudulent conspiracy, a judge has ruled. Raffaele Mincione, a ex-fiance of Heather Mills, was accused by the Holy See of duping them into paying more for a property in Chelsea than it was worth. The defendant in the 17 day civil hearing was the Secretariat of State of the Holy See, the administrative arm of the Vatican. Mr Mincione had been found guilty…
